Is there any checklist available for installation of post-installed anchors at jobsite which ensures proper installation?
Thanks for the question. The safety of any Post-Installed Anchor is dependent on 3 key parameters and these also serve as high-level checklist:
i. Anchor Selection: The selected anchor must be approved by ETA with jobsite relevant additional approvals like: performance under Seismic, Fire, Corrosion conditions etc.
ii. Design: The anchor must be designed as per relevant design code like EN1992-part 4 to check failure under different load conditions of tension/shear and/or combination
iii. Installation: This is one of the critical aspect & often ignored at jobsites. Proper hole cleaning, ensuring designed embedment depth and nut tightening at defined torque value as per manufacturer recommendations ensures safe performance of anchors.
