    Why would you ever design a post-installed bar as an anchor if you're limited to a depth of 20 bar diameters?

Thanks for posting your query.
In many cases, it is imperative to use the rebar as an anchor (cases other than concrete to concrete connections where Hilti Rebar method is used). Here, as per the ETA approvals, rebars are generally restricted to the embedment depths of 20D of diameter of rebar.
