What constitutes that a building be required to have Passive Fire Protection in place?

Firestop is a material used as a barrier to resist passage of smoke or fire through it. And it mandate as per NBC 2017 to be used in Fire zones and compartments, Irrespective to building size. It is dependable on utility of jobsite.
